Ikigoo Studio privacy policy
In short: our games don't ask for an account, your name or your email. Your progress is stored on your phone. To show ads, understand how the games are used, catch errors and handle purchases we use services from Google, Sentry and RevenueCat, which process technical device identifiers. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland we ask for your permission before personalising ads or measuring, and you can change your choice at any time in Settings → Ad privacy.
1. Which games it covers
This policy applies to every Ikigoo Studio game on Google Play (and, once released, on the App Store):
- Bee Queens (
com.ikigoo.beequeens) - Minesweeper Mecha («Buscaminas Mecha» in Spanish) (
com.ikigoo.buscaminas)
If a game doesn't use one of the services below (for example, it has no purchases), it simply doesn't process that data. When we release a new game, we will add it to this list.
2. Who is responsible
The data controller is Carlos Ortolá Adell (Ikigoo Studio), at Cuesta de San Vicente, 12, 28008 Madrid (Spain), contact email support@ikigoo.com. We have no data protection officer because we are not required to.
3. What data we process and why
Your progress in the games
- What data: Your progress, settings, in-game currency, streaks and cosmetics
- What for: To make the game work
- Legal basis: Performance of the service you ask for (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR)
- Who processes it: Only your phone: it never leaves it
Ads
- What data: Advertising ID, app set ID, IP address (approximate location), device data and ad interactions
- What for: Showing ads, capping their frequency, measuring them and preventing fraud. Personalised only if you agree
- Legal basis: Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Art. 22.2 of the Spanish LSSI) to personalise and access the device; legitimate interest for non-personalised ads and fraud prevention
- Who processes it: Google AdMob and, through its auction, the partner ad networks listed below
Usage statistics
- What data: Game usage (sessions, screens, levels and challenges played, streaks, purchases made, version), an app instance ID created by Google Analytics, the approximate location derived from your IP address (which Google does not store in full) and device data (model and Android version). We do not use your advertising ID, your Android ID or any user ID, and we never send text you typed
- What for: Understanding what works (for example, how many players come back the next day or at which level they stop) and improving the game. It is not used for ads. Later on, also changing settings without a new release (Remote Config)
- Legal basis: Consent: in the EEA, UK and Switzerland we measure nothing until you accept in the consent message or in Settings → Privacy; elsewhere, legitimate interest. In every case you can turn it off in Settings → Privacy. We use Google's Consent Mode v2 for measurement only: ad storage and ad data are always denied
- Who processes it: Google (Google Analytics for Firebase), as data processor
Error reports
- What data: Error reports: stack trace, device model and OS, game version
- What for: Finding and fixing bugs
- Legal basis: Legitimate interest in a working game
- Who processes it: Sentry (no IP address or personal data: we turn them off)
Game reminders
- What data: None leaves your phone: the game schedules the reminder on your own device (time, text and whether one was already shown that day)
- What for: Reminding you about the game (at most one a day, between 9:00 and 22:00) if you turn them on
- Legal basis: Consent (the system notification permission; you can turn them off in the game or in Android settings)
- Who processes it: Only your phone
News and event notifications (campaigns)
- What data: A Firebase installation ID and a messaging registration token, which Google's service only creates once you turn notifications on (nothing is registered before); the game version and basic device data (model, brand and Android version); and the topics the game is subscribed to (news and events)
- What for: Sending a news or event notification to all players with notifications on at once. They go by topic: we do not store your token or any identifier of your phone, and we cannot send a notification to you specifically. The game only shows it if notifications are on, to people who played in the last 7 days, and at most one a day
- Legal basis: Consent (the notification permission and notifications turned on in the game). If you turn them off, the game unsubscribes from the topics and deletes the token
- Who processes it: Google (Firebase Cloud Messaging), as data processor
Version check and updates
- What data: Game version and IP address when checking whether a required new version exists
- What for: Telling you when you need to update the game to keep playing, and downloading the update
- Legal basis: Legitimate interest in the game working and being secure
- Who processes it: Our website host (technical connection logs only) and Google Play (in-app updates)
Purchases
- What data: Purchase history (what you bought and when, anonymous customer ID)
- What for: Unlocking and restoring purchases such as «Remove ads»
- Legal basis: Performance of the contract
- Who processes it: Google Play (payment) and RevenueCat (receipt validation)
We never see your payment details: Google Play handles payment. We don't ask for your precise location, contacts, photos or microphone. We don't sell your data.
4. Consent and how to change it
If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, the first time you open the game we show Google's consent message (UMP, certified under the IAB TCF). Accepting and rejecting are equally easy. If you reject, you will still see ads, but not personalised ones. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Ad privacy. Usage statistics have their own switch in Settings → Privacy: what you choose there overrides the consent message. On Android you can also delete or reset your advertising ID in the system settings.
5. Who we share it with
- Google Ireland Ltd. (AdMob, Firebase, Google Play): privacy policy and how Google uses data from apps.
- Ad networks bidding in the AdMob auction: the current list is at Google's ad partners.
- Functional Software, Inc. (Sentry): privacy policy.
- RevenueCat, Inc.: privacy policy.
6. Transfers outside the EU
Some providers are based in the United States. Transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (for certified providers) and otherwise on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
7. How long we keep it
- Game data on your phone: until you clear the app's data or uninstall it.
- Firebase analytics: 14 months at most.
- Errors in Sentry: 90 days at most.
- Purchases: as long as needed to restore them and as required by law.
- Ads: according to Google's and each network's terms.
- Notifications: reminders never leave your phone. The Firebase Cloud Messaging ID and token are kept by Google under Firebase's terms; we do not keep them. Turning notifications off makes the game delete the token, and uninstalling the game makes it stop working.
- Version check: we don't store it; the host may keep technical logs for a short time.
8. Your rights
You can ask for access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability by writing to support@ikigoo.com. As we don't have your name or email, to find your analytics or error data we will ask for the identifier shown in each game's Settings → Privacy. You can also complain to the Spanish data protection authority (AEPD) or to the authority in your country.
9. How to delete your data
- On your phone: uninstall the game or clear its data in Android settings.
- Notifications: turn them off in the game (it unsubscribes and deletes the token) or in Android settings, or uninstall the game. As we do not store your token, we hold no notification data we could link to you.
- Analytics: turn it off in Settings → Privacy: the game stops measuring and deletes any unsent data and its analytics identifier from your phone. Data already sent is deleted after 14 months, or sooner if you email us.
- Analytics and errors: email support@ikigoo.com with the game identifier and we delete them within 30 days.
- Purchases: you can ask us to delete your history in RevenueCat; you will then no longer be able to restore them.
10. Children
Our games are made for ages 13 and up and is not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you are a parent and believe your child has given us data, write to us and we will delete it.
11. Artificial intelligence
Our games don't use artificial intelligence to process your data.
12. Changes
If we change this policy (for example, when adding a new service), we will update the date above and, if the change is important, tell you inside the games.
